Hello, I'm Charla Fox

I am a proud public school teacher at South Fort Myers High School. I was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida where both of my parents were educators in the Lee County School District. Growing up, I attended Villas Elementary, Orangewood Elementary, Fort Myers Middle, and Fort Myers High School. After attending the University of Tennessee where I earned my finance degree, I returned home to Fort Myers to work in banking and property management. While in banking and property management, I realized training other employees was my passion. That passion led me to teaching.

I taught at both Cape Coral High School and Mariner High School. After 10 years in the classroom, I wanted to find a way to help teachers help students. I did that by working in the educational software field. Throughout my time in this field, I was able to support teachers with software that helped them identify and target their students' academic weaknesses. My heart never left the classroom. After 15 years in educational software, I took my knowledge back to Lee County. This is my tenth year at South Fort Myers High School. I continue to find new pathways to support both educators and students. I look forward to continuing this work as your Lee County School Board member in District 2. When I'm not in the classroom, I spend time with my husband and children, singing in my church choir, and volunteering with many local organizations and boards!
